The Chicago Pneumatic Red Hawk range of petrol-powered drills has been included in Construction Equipment magazine’s prestigious Top 100 new products of 2016.

In selecting equipment for the Top 100 list, the editorial team at Construction Equipment magazine consider advances in technology, new product lines, significant improvements to existing products, or a product that increases competition in its field.

Gus Armbruster, Spokesperson for Handheld Tools at Chicago Pneumatic commented: “We’re delighted that the Red Hawk range has been recognised by Construction Equipment magazine. The award reflects the positive response we’ve received from customers since launching the range. This is down to the fact that all Red Hawk models are extremely rugged and reliable; and provide users with the versatility and maneuverability needed for use in remote locations.

Launched in North America last year, the Red Hawk range includes models that are suitable for road and drilling applications. The Red Hawk Road is the most powerful breaker in the range, offering high impact energy and weighing only 22 kg. Ideal for concrete and asphalt breaking and cutting, enough impact energy is delivered to handle silica-rich rocks and reinforced concrete. An additional tamping shank allows users to repair potholes and surface damage, making the Red Hawk Road ideal for infrastructure applications.

Completing the range is the Red Hawk Drill, offering a combined drill and breaker, ideal for light service applications such as rock splitting, fencing work and digging into hard or frozen ground. With a range of different working tools, from cutting, to breaking and driving, the Red Hawk Drill is a universal tool that offers users working in remote locations a suitable alternative to existing drills and breakers.

In addition to the Red Hawk range, two other Chicago Pneumatic products were included in Construction Equipment magazine’s Top 100 list; the SR 140 soil compactor and CPLT V5+ HiLight light tower.
